A look at London hotel's website performance in February.

London’s hotel industry enjoyed one of their strongest months in February with month-over-month website performance improvements set to continue into March.

Average hotel website sessions were up 25% on January equalling the same traffic enjoyed by London properties in October and November, 2021. Transactions were also up by a massive 51% on January buoyed by weekend bookings and at their highest level since the start of the pandemic.

The graph below charts website sessions and transactions for London hotels between March 2019 and March 2022.

Customers still prefer to make hotel bookings from desktop devices 72% v 26% on mobile devices. 

However, mobile browsing continues to dominate. In February mobile accounted for 55% of hotel website sessions for London hotels.

Properties across the capital also enjoyed a leap of 55% in on-line revenue up from an average of £104,571 in January to £162,698 in February.
